Guided walk from Talley Student Union to Pullen Park via the NC State greenway; free and open to all.
The Faculty and Staff Walking Club kicks off at Talley Student Union on Tuesday, October 13, and it's a guided walk that runs every Tuesday through December 8. The group meets outside the Starbucks at Talley, in Raleigh, and heads out from there.
The route follows the NC State greenway to Pullen Park and back, which works out to about 1.4 miles. It's a guided walk, so you've got a lead to follow rather than figuring out the path on your own, and the greenway keeps you off the main roads and on the paved trails. Since it's a loop that brings you right back to where you started, it's easy to fit into a workday without needing a ride home.
The club is part of NC State University's HR Wellness program, which supports faculty and staff in reaching healthy lifestyle goals through programs and services built around the university's six elements of wellness. It's free and open to all, so you don't need to be a regular walker to join in.
