A themed karaoke night where attendees sing emo, pop, and alternative rock songs, hosted by the Raleigh act Get Sad Y'all.
Emo Karaoke returns to Neptunes Parlour on Sunday, October 18, from 8 PM to midnight. It's a monthly night where you get to sing your favorite emo songs from across the decades, and this one is part of a recurring series that runs every third Sunday of the month—the next two are November 15 and December 20.
The night is run by Get Sad Y'all, a Raleigh act known for throwing dance parties and karaoke nights that pull from emo, pop, alternative, butt rock, and pop punk. Their emo sessions are built around the crowd singing or screaming along to bands like Simple Plan, Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Paramore, and Bring Me The Horizon, with plenty more in the mix.
Neptunes Parlour is a subterranean bar tucked beneath Kings in downtown Raleigh. They pour draft beers from small North Carolina brewers, serve fresh-ingredient cocktails, and keep classic arcade games and pinball on hand alongside nightly DJs. The venue runs a rotating lineup of themed nights, including Wednesday Karaoke and Open Decks.
