Free night of dance music with DJ Gray on the second floor of Tin Roof Raleigh, between the NFL games.
DJ Gray is taking over the decks at Tin Roof Raleigh this Saturday, October 17, for a DJ set that fits right into the venue's weekend rhythm. It's not a one-off, either: Gray is scheduled for October 24, November 6, and November 21, so if you can't make this one, there are three more dates coming up through the fall.
To get your bearings on the spot, Tin Roof is a two-level live music and dining venue on Glenwood South, built around giving musicians a place to play and a place to hang when they aren't onstage. The first floor hosts live bands every weekend night, while a DJ spins dance tunes on the second floor, and the whole thing opens out onto a rooftop patio. The kitchen serves southern-inspired 'Better Than Bar Food,' and the room has hosted the famous, the should-have-been-famous, and everyone in between over the years. The venue calls itself 'Where Everybody is Somebody.'

The nights are billed as a way to hang out between the early and late NFL games, so if you're following the season, this is a good place to kill the gap. The set is free, and the performance times vary by date, so keep that in mind if you're planning your afternoon around it. You'll find Tin Roof Raleigh at 300 Glenwood Ave. in downtown Raleigh.
