Monthly meeting of the Dix Park Commission, the advisory and governance body for Dix Park, held at The Chapel.
The Dix Park Commission meets at The Chapel on Tuesday, October 27, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. It's a public meeting focused on park development, so if you've got an interest in how the park is being shaped, this is where the conversation happens.
To get some context on who they are: the Commission was set up as an improved advisory and governance structure for Dix Park, recommended under Memorandum of Agreement #3 between the City of Raleigh and the Dix Park Conservancy and authorized by City Council on January 20, 2026. It makes recommendations to Raleigh City Council and is supported by both City staff and Dix Park Conservancy staff. There are eleven voting members, appointed by various city, county, and state entities. The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, except when a holiday interferes, and its monthly agendas are shared with City Council.
