Family-friendly cat-themed film event with a local cat rescue on-site, featuring screenings and adoptable cats.
CatVideoFest returns to the Marbles IMAX Theater in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, with a screening at 2 PM each day. It's a family-friendly event that does exactly what the name suggests: a curated program of cat videos on the big screen. If you've spent any time on the internet, you know the drill—the kind of short, funny clips that usually end up in a group chat, but here they're projected in IMAX.
There are only two showtimes, so if you want to catch it, you'll have to pick one of the two afternoons. The screenings double as a fundraiser, and every ticket goes to Alley Cats and Angels, a local cat and kitten rescue. It's a straightforward way to support a rescue while spending a couple of hours watching cats do cat things.
And the rescue doesn't just take the proceeds. Alley Cats and Angels will be on-site both days with adoptable cats and catnip toys for sale, so if you're already looking for a new companion, you can meet them in person before or after the show. It turns a simple movie afternoon into something a bit more: you get the videos, and the rescue gets the support it needs to keep taking in cats and kittens.

Between the two dates, there's only one time to choose from—2 PM on Saturday, October 17, and 2 PM on Sunday, October 18. The theater is at Marbles IMAX Theater, 201 E Hargett St, in downtown Raleigh.
