Interactive stage show that flips bingo into a 3-hour show with dance-offs, lip sync battles and prizes, suitable for over-21s.
Bingo Loco is coming to The Ritz on Saturday, October 10, for a three-hour show that takes bingo and turns it into a full-on stage production. If you've never heard of it, the basic idea is that the bingo game is just the frame for a night of dance-offs, rave rounds, lip sync battles, throwback anthems and confetti showers. Comedian MCs lead the room through the whole thing, so it's as much about what's happening on stage as it is about the numbers being called.
The prizes are where it gets a bit surreal. They range from international holidays and cars to air fryers and lawnmowers, so you're just as likely to walk away with a trip abroad as you are with a new kitchen appliance. That mix of high-end and household is part of the whole thing.
It started in Ireland back in 2017 and has since grown into what they call the world's largest bingo rave, with sold-out shows in more than 200 cities. The way they describe it is a blend of festival energy and theatre, and that's a fair summary: you've got the music and the crowd of a rave, but it's structured like a show rather than just a DJ set. It's a long one, tooβthree hours from start to finish.
