A story time session with an artful twist for young children, connecting children's books with original works of art.
Artful Story Time is back at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Wednesday, Oct 21, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the East Building, Level B. It's a story time with an artful twist: kids look, listen, and move while making connections between original works of art and children's books, and rotating featured readers bring a new perspective to each session. The whole thing sits within the museum's youth and family programs, which offer hands-on art activities and creative inspiration for children and their grown-ups across the galleries and the park.
This month's session celebrates the comforts of home and community. As part of that, you can meet artist Becky Joye and see her Lighthouse, which is on display in the galleries through Sunday, Oct 26. The museum also encourages children to bring along a favorite stuffed animal for the morning.
