An adults-only evening of gothic mystery with interactive science stations, live music, games, local vendors and a spooky book fair, featuring themed drinks and food.
Adult Nights: Tales of Woe takes over the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences on Friday, October 23, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. It's part of the museum's Adult Nights series, which closes the doors to everyone under 21 for the evening and lets you wander the galleries after hours.
The theme this time is gothic mystery. The night looks at the science behind people's darkest fears, tests your knowledge of cursed literature, and lets the spirits of Poe and beyond haunt the room. It's the museum's uncensored side on displayโthe kind of stuff that doesn't usually make it into the daytime tours. Beyond the gothic theme, there are interactive science stations, live music, games, and local vendors. There's also a spooky book fair, so if you're into gothic reads, you can pick up something new while you're there.
Beer, wine, themed cocktails, and food are available to buy throughout the night. Costumes are encouraged, but you don't have to dress up to get in. Just keep in mind it's 21+ only, so bring your ID.
