Rebus Works is a coffee shop, grocery market, and art gallery at 301-2 Kinsey St in Downtown Raleigh, NC. You'll find it tucked behind the Boylan Bridge, in the Boylan Heights area. Photographer Shonna Greenwell owns the space, which she co-founded in 2003 with printmaker Lee Moore. It began as a neighborhood gallery run by artists, for artists, showing unusual art mediums and artists that Raleigh galleries often overlooked. The art is still part of the space, which is set up as a community spot where the coffee bar, the grocery shelves, and the gallery share the same rooms.
