First exhibition by the Pink Sofa Collective, transforming the historic Round Tower into a thought-provoking art experience exploring the gaps between people and places.
The Pink Sofa Collective are taking over The Round Tower in Old Portsmouth for their first-ever exhibition, The Space Between, running Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September. It's a site-specific show, which means it's built around the building itself rather than just hung on the walls, and it's free to attend.
The title comes from the collective's own exploration of 'the space between' — those gaps that open up between people, or between places and things. That's the core idea they're working from, and it's what they've used to shape the whole thing. Over the two days, they'll be transforming the interior of the tower into an art show that you walk through rather than just look at, with the work responding to the space it's in.

Because it's their first exhibition, it's a good chance to see what the collective is about from the start. The show is on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, so you've got a full day either way to wander through it at your own pace. It's held at The Round Tower, part of Hotwalls Studios in Old Portsmouth (PO1 2FS), and there's no entry fee.
