A professional tribute show celebrating the Bee Gees' greatest hits, fronted by Evan Webster, Russell Davey and Greg Wain, endorsed by the Gibb family.
The Best of the Bee Gees Show comes to Kings Theatre on Thursday 10 September, part of a European tour. The show is built around the Bee Gees' 1979 Greatest album, and the setlist follows it from the disco anthems to the ballads, and includes the songs the brothers wrote for other artists. It draws on the band's shared Australian and British history, and runs for about two and a half hours.
Three singers front the show: Evan Webster as Barry Gibb, Russell Davey as Robin Gibb, and Greg Wain as Maurice Gibb, with Debora McLane and Nick Endacott-Gibb as special guests. The production has been touring for 28 years, and it's the only Bee Gees tribute endorsed by the Gibb family and the original Bee Gees musicians. Lesley Evans, a member of the Gibb family, called it the most professional tribute to the Bee Gees she's seen.
