A two-day festival bringing the sights, sounds and tastes of Thailand to Southsea Common, with food stalls, traditional music, dancing, Muay Thai boxing and a children's play area.
The Southsea Thai Food and Craft Festival takes over Southsea Common on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, presented by Magic of Thailand. It's a two-day event that brings the sights, sounds and tastes of Thailand to the common, and it opens each morning with a traditional Buddhist monk blessing.
There's a fair bit to get through over the weekend. On the performance side, you've got traditional Thai music and dancing, Muay Thai boxing, and a Ladyboy show. If you're more into the food and shopping, there's a Thai beer and cocktails garden to hang out in, and plenty of stalls with authentic Thai food, crafts, clothing and produce. There's also a traditional Thai massage if you fancy a bit of downtime, a children's play area for the smaller ones, and a unique eating competition for anyone feeling competitive.

It's a family-friendly one, and dogs on leads are welcome too, so you don't have to leave the dog at home. The whole thing runs from 10am to 7pm on both days, so you can pop in for a few hours or make a full day of it. Entry is £6 per day for adults, and under 15s get in free. You'll find it at Southsea Common, Portsmouth, PO5 3LR.
