A family-friendly music and wheeled sports event celebrating Portsmouth 100 with skateboarding, scootering, BMX, live music, local traders, food and drink, and activities for children.
Send It 100 takes over Pitt St. Skatepark on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, a full weekend of music and wheeled sports marking Portsmouth's centenary as a city. It's built as a family event, so it's as much about the skating as the stages.
Saturday is the indie and guitar side of things. Scouting for Girls and Toploader headline, with Dave McCabe of The Zutons, Don Letts, and a DJ set from The Fratellis joining them, alongside plenty of local acts. Sunday shifts gears entirely into dance and drum & bass, with Wilkinson taking the lead and Ardee and Serum as special guests, plus Shadow Child, Bbyclose, Dogger & Mindstate and more local talent. Two days, two very different sounds.
Between the sets, the skatepark is the main event. They're putting up a big vert ramp and bringing in internationally recognised athletes, so there's skateboarding, scootering, BMX, inline skating and roller skating on the go throughout. There's also a market of local traders, workshops, food and drink, and activities for kids, which is why it's pitched as a whole weekend for families rather than just a couple of gigs.

It's a paid event, with early bird tickets from £25 for adults and under-fives going in free. If you're coming with the kids, that's a fair bit of the cost sorted before you've even left the house.
