A safe and friendly skating session introducing toddlers and children under five to the sport, helping them develop balance and coordination.
Roller Tots are back at Pitt St. Skatepark tomorrow, Thursday 13 August, for another under-fives skate session. It's a year-round programme, so if you can't make this one, there's always next week.
The sessions are aimed at toddlers, billed as a safe and friendly way for them to get a taste of skating. The focus is on the basics: helping them find their balance and get a bit of coordination on wheels, while they make a few new friends along the way. It's also one of those things that gives parents and children something to bond over together, rather than just watching from the sidelines.
One thing that's handy is that it doesn't stop when the weather turns. The sessions run throughout the year, and when the holidays roll around, they move indoors to the Temple Of Wheels roller rink, so you're not stuck waiting for the sun to come out to get them back on skates. Micro Scooters sponsors the programme.
