A magical day of music and celebration with interactive doodle workshops and vocal workshops for the community, part of the Portsmouth100 centenary celebrations.
Prom in the Park comes to Victoria Park on Wednesday 15 July, from 11:00 to 14:00. It's put on by the Portsmouth Music Service, who've teamed up with local schools to bring it together, and it's part of Portsmouth100, the city's centenary celebrations.

The music is the main thing, but it's not just a concert you sit and listen to. There are interactive doodle workshops run by Seekers Create, and vocal workshops where you can join in and sing along rather than just watching from the side. It's described as a day of music and celebration, and the whole thing is built around the community getting involved.
Because it's a family affair, it's set up for all ages — kids, teenagers, and adults alike. It's an outdoor event in the park, and as part of the centenary celebrations, it's free to attend. It runs from 11:00 to 14:00 on 15 July at Victoria Park.
