
The Portsmouth Film Society partners with Staggeringly Good for an outdoor screening of the classic film The Warriors as part of the Sunset Outdoor Cinema 2026 series.
The Warriors (1979) is showing outdoors at Staggeringly Good Brewery on Friday 31 July, with the film starting at 9pm. It's part of the Portsmouth Film Society's Sunset Outdoor Cinema 2026 season, which they're running in collaboration with Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre. The whole series takes cinema into Portsmouth's open-air spaces, with a programme of beloved classics, cult favourites and sing-along sensations. They're using unusual outdoor venues across the city, with screenings at Staggeringly Good Brewery and Portsmouth Cricket Club, and themed extras like costume contests and interactive sing-alongs mixed in.
The Warriors is an action and crime thriller set in New York. It follows a street gang known as the Warriors, who find themselves fighting their way from the Bronx back to their home turf on Coney Island after being falsely accused of assassinating a respected gang leader. It's a cult classic that's held up well over the years, and it runs for 1 hour 33 minutes.

Since it's at the brewery, the bar will be open throughout the night, but they don't allow outside drinks. Tickets are £10 for adults, £7 for members, £8 for children, and £9 for students and seniors. If you're coming as a group, there's a ticket for four people at £35. The screening is on Friday 31 July at 9pm at Staggeringly Good Brewery, PO4 8SS, Portsmouth.
