An evening of classic Northern Soul and Motown with DJ Tubbs spinning rare grooves and dancefloor favourites at the distillery.
DJ Tubbs takes over The Portsmouth Distillery Co on Saturday 26 September for a Northern Soul & Motown night. It's part of the 'Music @ The Fort' collection, which turns the working distillery into a dancefloor for the evening. Tubbs will be on the decks all night, spinning classic Northern Soul, rare grooves, soulful Motown and dancefloor favourites.
The night is built for everyone from long-standing Northern Soul fans to people discovering the genre for the first time, with uplifting rhythms and iconic tracks filling the room. It's a dancefloor night, so the focus is on the music and the dancing rather than a seated performance.
The distillery bar stays open throughout, serving the venue's award-winning spirits and cocktails alongside beer and wine. The setting adds its own character: the distillery is a live music venue in the heart of Southsea that hosts a variety of nights at Fort Cumberland. It's a working distillery, so you're dancing in the same space where the spirits are made.
