Love Actually Live in Concert

Love Actually Live in Concert comes to Portsmouth Guildhall on Tuesday 22 December, just a few days before Christmas. It's the film Love Actually on the big screen, but with a full orchestra playing Craig Armstrong's score live in the room. If you've seen the film a dozen times, this is a different way to do it.

Directed by Richard Curtis and first released in 2003, Love Actually is set in London in the weeks leading up to Christmas. It weaves together ten interlocking stories of love, a premise that's turned it into a bit of a modern festive tradition. The live-in-concert format keeps the film on screen while the orchestra performs Armstrong's score, which won a BAFTA for Achievement in Film Music. The show has become a holiday fixture in its own right, drawing sold-out audiences and critical acclaim.

There are a few extras you can add to your booking. A dining or charcuterie board package can be tacked on up to 24 hours before the show, and discounted parking is available. One thing to keep in mind: no cameras or tablets are allowed inside, so you'll have to leave yours in your bag.

Doors open at 7.00pm. Tickets are between £49.55 and £96.35, which includes a 17% booking fee and the venue's restoration levy.
