A fun leisure session for under 16s with music, skateboards, scooters and food at the skatepark.
Pitt St Skatepark is hosting a Kids Wheeled Disco on Wednesday 22 July, a session for under-16s that brings together music, skating, and food under one roof. It's exactly what the name suggests: a disco on wheels, with the skatepark floor becoming the dancefloor for the afternoon.
It's not just for one kind of skater, either. The session welcomes skates, inline skates, and scooters, so it works whether you're on four wheels, eight, or two. The music runs throughout, and the food is served on-site, so it's a full afternoon out rather than just a quick session. It's aimed at the under-16 crowd, making it a good shout for a mid-week activity with the younger ones.
For those who haven't been, Pitt St Skatepark is Portsmouth's indoor and outdoor skate haven, housed in a repurposed Sainsbury's. It's a proper hub for the local scene, with skateboarding, inline, and roller skating bootcamps for different levels, and new memberships available if you're looking to make it a regular thing. There's an online store too, stocking Pitt St clothing alongside gear from Wooden Wife and Yardboiz, and the whole venue can be hired out for events or birthday parties.
