Pitt St. Skatepark runs its indoor roller disco every Friday from 7pm to 10pm, with the next session on 25 September. It's one of the venue's regular social fixtures, and they welcome all ages and abilities, so you don't need to be any good on wheels to turn up.
If you're coming without your own gear, there's skate and helmet hire on the door, which makes it easy to just show up and get on with it. The session runs for three hours, so there's plenty of time to find your feet before the night wraps up.
For context, Pitt St. Skatepark is Portsmouth's indoor playground for wheeled sports, housed in a transformed former Sainsbury's. It's packed with ramps, rails and flatland for skateboards, scooters, BMX, quads and roller skates, and it's run as a Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports the local youth and creative scene. The roller disco is just one part of what goes on there: they have coaching sessions, beginner-friendly time slots and Pitt St. Kitchen, an on-site café and bar.

Their regular programme covers a fair bit of ground throughout the week. There's Roller Tots for toddlers under five on Thursday mornings, Home Ed sessions for home-educated children on Friday mornings during term time, and The Academy of Wheels, a structured coaching programme covering skateboarding, roller skating, inline skating and BMX. The roller disco sits alongside those, running every Friday from 7pm to 10pm.
