A one-day vegan festival with over 50 stalls, food, fashion, beauty and talks at the Mountbatten Centre.
The Hampshire Vegan Festival is coming to the Mountbatten Centre on Sunday 8 November, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. It's a one-day event that brings together more than 50 stalls under one roof, so you can do your vegan shopping and get some lunch in the same trip.
The stalls cover a fair bit of ground: vegan food and drink, cruelty-free beauty, sustainable fashion and homeware. There's also a programme of talks, demonstrations and workshops running throughout the day, so it's as much about hanging around and listening as it is about browsing. One of the exhibitors this time is Miracle's Mission, a non-profit animal welfare organisation.
The festival is run by Vegan Events UK, which was started by Victoria Bryceson. She says that since 2017 the organisation has been bringing the best of vegan living to communities across the UK as a one-stop destination for plant-based products and small family-run businesses. The day gathers world street food, ethical brands and the local vegan community in one place, with shopping, talks, demonstrations and workshops all happening together.

Tickets are available only in advance and there are no refunds. Standard entry is £5.00 plus a £0.60 booking fee, and under 16s go in for free. There's also a VIP ticket for £15.00 plus a £1.80 booking fee. The Mountbatten Centre is at Alex Way, Hilsea, Portsmouth PO2 9QA.
