A welcoming and supportive skate night for girls and women of all ages and abilities at Pitt St. Skatepark.
Girls Skate Night is back at Pitt St. Skatepark on Monday 31 August, the latest in a monthly series that runs on the last Monday of every month. It's a dedicated session for girls and women of all ages and abilities, from absolute beginners who've never stood on a board to experienced skaters who know their way around a bowl.
The night is run by Pitt St. Skatepark – An Undercover Skatepark Project, and the whole thing is built around creating a welcoming and supportive space. It's a fun-filled evening dedicated to skating, socialising and making new friends within a vibrant and inclusive community. Because it's open to all ages and skill levels, you'll find people at very different stages of their skating journey sharing the same floor, which is exactly what makes it work.
If you're new to skating, it's a low-pressure way to get started. If you've been riding for years, it's a chance to get some time in with other women and girls in the city. The session runs from 19:00 to 22:00, giving you three full hours to skate at your own pace, and it's as much about the social side as the skating itself.

Booking isn't necessary, so you can just turn up on the night, though pre-booking is available through the skatepark's website if you'd rather have your spot sorted in advance. The session costs £10 and takes place at Pitt St. Skatepark, 315 Commercial Road, Portsmouth PO1 4BS.
