A live music show celebrating the music of The Jam, performed by the tribute act From The Jam, with support from Nicky Weller.
From The Jam play Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 16 October, with Nicky Weller supporting. It's a live celebration of The Jam's music, and the set is built around the songs that made them known: 'Down In The Tube Station At Midnight', 'Going Underground', 'Town Called Malice' and 'The Modern World' are all on the list.
The band formed in 2004 when Russell Hastings got together with two-thirds of the original line-up, drummer Rick Buckler and bassist Bruce Foxton. Hastings still sings the songs as he remembers them. Buckler left in 2010, and he and Foxton brought in Mark Brzezicki of Big Country on drums. Around that time, the first Foxton and Hastings album, Back In The Room, was recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn Studios, with Weller on piano and vocals on several tracks, including 'Number Six'. Their second album, Smash The Clock (2015), featured guests like Steve Cropper, Wilko Johnson, Paul Weller and Paul Jones. Foxton retired from touring in August 2025, and the band continues to tour. They've built a reputation for the kind of incendiary live performances that made The Jam famous.

It's a Friday night in the city centre, so it's easy to get to and from. The show starts at 7:00pm at Portsmouth Guildhall, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth PO1 2AB. Tickets are £37.85, which includes a 17% booking fee.
