A free family festival showcasing local charities, support services, entertainment, and children's activities with approximately 50 stalls.
Home-Start Portsmouth is putting on a Family Festival at Victoria Park on Saturday 25 July, from 10:00 to 16:00. It's a free day out for families, parents, and children, with about 50 stalls set up across the park. Each one is run by a local charity, support service, or community group, and every stall has its own activity to get stuck into.

It's not just the stalls, either. There's entertainment from community groups throughout the day, and dedicated areas just for children, so there's plenty to keep the smaller ones occupied while the adults have a look around. A few of the stalls are larger than the rest, with the fire service and BH Live among them, and there's a small fun fair on-site to add to the mix.
One of the best bits is that it's free to get in, and the activities are either free or very low cost. Any money that does change hands goes straight to the charities taking part, so if you're spending a few pounds on a game or a craft, it's going back into the local services on display. It's a good way to see what's available in the city without having to go searching for it yourself.
So, if you're looking for something to do with the kids on a summer Saturday, head to Victoria Park on 25 July between 10:00 and 16:00. It's free entry, with plenty of activities for all ages.
