Afternoon Tea

St Michael's & All Angels Church is hosting an afternoon tea on Monday 31 August, from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. It's part of the Portsmouth100 celebrations, marking 100 years since Portsmouth became a city, and was funded by the Portsmouth100 Grants Fund. It's a free event, and the whole thing is built around a free cream tea.

It's designed to fill a Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, and there's plenty to keep you there. There's a children's disco for the smaller ones, and crafts and activities for all ages, so it works whether you're bringing the kids or just coming along yourself. The cream tea is the centrepiece, and it's free for everyone who turns up.

The afternoon closes with a stall by Seekers Create, where they'll be gathering people's memories and hopes for St Michael's. It's a nice way to wind down the day, and it gives you a chance to leave something behind for the church.

It's at St Michael's & All Angels Church (C of E) on Hempsted Road in Paulsgrove, PO6 4AS. It runs from 2:30pm to 6:00pm on Monday 31 August, and it's free.
