A month of horror classics presented through PAM CUT at the Whitsell Auditorium, with unique programs and series released throughout the year.
Vintage Spooky runs from October 3 through October 31 at the Portland Art Museum, a month of horror classics presented through PAM CUT @ The Whitsell, the museum's new destination for film, new media and visual storytelling. The screenings happen every Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM on Level 0, so it's a weekend afternoon thing rather than a late-night one.
It's part of a larger cycle: PAM CUT releases unique programs and series throughout the year, curated by the museum and guest programmers, designed to be in conversation with the work on the walls. The wider PAM CUT project is framed as more than just a launch—they describe it as an invitation to dream and to expand the possibilities of who and what shape our realities, and to create something entirely new, housing chic, distinctive and culturally iconic programming by boundary-pushing artists, filmmakers and culturemakers past and present.
There's a sister location, too: PAM CUT's Tomorrow Theater adds hands-on media arts events, classes, youth summer camps and artists programs at PAM CUT Downtown. So if you're into the film side of things, there's a more active, maker-focused side to the project happening across town.
