Jules Buckley, conductor, celebrates seminal works of Quincy Jones live with the Oregon Symphony and band.
Jules Buckley leads the Oregon Symphony in The Music of Quincy Jones at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Thursday, May 27, 2027. It's a tribute to some of Quincy Jones' most celebrated songs, performed live with orchestra and band.
Buckley is a GRAMMY Award-winning composer, conductor, and arranger, and he worked with Jones for nearly a decade. The concert is built around brand-new orchestral arrangements the two created during that time. Jones himself said they retain the "bounce, the bite and the euphoria" of the original recordings, and Buckley has called working with him "absolutely the highest honor."
