The Oregon Symphony performs The Music of Queen, a symphonic rock tribute to the band Queen, with guest conductor Brent Havens and vocalist MiG Ayesa.
The Oregon Symphony is bringing The Music of Queen to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Thursday, March 4, 2027. It's a symphonic rock tribute to Queen, staged with a full orchestra and a rock band alongside powerful vocalists. The production reimagines the band's anthems—songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," "We Are The Champions," and "Somebody to Love"—as orchestral pieces, and it's billed as a tribute to Freddie Mercury and the Queen sound.
On the podium is guest conductor and arranger Brent Havens, who also handles the arrangements, and vocalist MiG Ayesa takes the lead on the songs. They're backed by a full band, so the rock side of the sound stays front and center even with the orchestra behind them. The whole thing is presented by the Oregon Symphony as part of its Special Concerts series.
