The Haunt perform their The Ghost Tour at McMenamins Mission Theater, supported by 8 Graves and Platinum Moon.
The Haunt bring their ghost tour to McMenamins Mission Theater on Thursday, October 29, with 8 Graves and Platinum Moon opening. The headliners are fronted by siblings Anastasia Grace and Maxamillion Haunt, who started out as a duo in 2015 over a shared love of hard rock, garage rock, and blues-hewn influences like Amy Winehouse and The White Stripes. They've since expanded to a quartet, and their sound is described as a swirl of indie-pop and post-punk that also summons blues and beats. Kerrang! noted their "gothic edge, flashes of punk vibrancy and riot grrrl attitude," and Rock Sound named them a "Breakout Artist."
Their debut LP, New Addiction (Nettwerk), was produced by Kevin Thrasher, who has worked with blink-182 and Jelly Roll, and includes "Masochistic Lovers," a duet with Escape The Fate. Reviewers have often pointed to the contrast between Anastasia's quiet offstage shyness and her commanding vocal preeminence once she's on stage.
Support comes from two opening acts. 8 Graves is an alt-rock duo from New Jersey, now based in Nashville and led by singer Brent Carpentier. Platinum Moon is a New York band that took first place at the 2019 Connecticut's Got Talent competition and has shared stages with Train, X Ambassadors, 10 Years, and Blues Traveler.
