Indie rock band The Hails perform live at the Mission Theater as part of their Duck Pond Tour, with support from Meldrop.
The Hails are bringing their Duck Pond Tour to the Mission Theater on Wednesday, November 11, with Meldrop opening. The show is presented by McMenamins.
The Hails came together when Robbie Kingsley, Franco Solari, Dylan McCue, and Zach Levy crossed paths after a string of strange encounters. They first played in a tight-knit Miami high school music scene and officially formed at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where they turned their college house into a distinct, refined sound. After returning to Miami, the city shaped their early shimmering singles "Younger" and "Stay," the debut EP He Seems Upset in 2020, and Alive in Strange Ways in 2021, which eventually gave way to their debut album What's Your Motive in 2023. These days the band collaborates across Miami, DC, and Brooklyn and has played festivals like Governors Ball, III Points, and Okeechobee, touring with The Revivalists, Quarters, The Beaches, flipturn, and the moss.
Opening the bill is Meldrop, a five-piece jazzy indie rock group from the Seattle/Tacoma area. They started as a four-piece in the fall of 2022 at the Lobster Shop restaurant, blending jazz, rock, and the blues.
