Soul and Americana singer Stephen Day performs live at Polaris Hall in Portland.
Stephen Day plays Polaris Hall on Sunday, November 15, with the show starting at 8 PM. He's a Georgia native and Nashville resident, a modern crooner who's been putting out music since his sophomore year of college, when he debuted with the 2015 EP Undergrad Romance and the Moses in Me.
Since then, he's released three projects: the pandemic EP Original Songs and Sound in 2020, and two full-length albums, Guess I'm Grown Now (2019) and The Shapes I'm In (2021). Those records have put him up over 110 million streams to date. This August, he landed his first major motion-picture sync, with a song appearing in Universal Pictures' Strays.
He's spent the last few years playing out of Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and Washington DC, and has played festivals in the Philippines and Poland. He's supported Teddy Swims and Ben Rector, and closed out 2023 touring North America with Stephen Sanchez. He describes his sound as sitting at the crossroads of Americana and soul.
