Portugal. The Man brings their alt-rock to the stage with the Oregon Symphony, closing their U.S. tour with music from 'In the Mountain in the Cloud' and 'SHISH'.
Portugal. The Man are playing the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on November 15, 2026, with the Oregon Symphony conducting them. It's their first time sharing a stage with the symphony, and it's the final stop of their U.S. tour.
The set pulls from two very different points in their catalog. They're marking the 15th anniversary of In the Mountain in the Cloud, so you'll hear material from that early record alongside songs from their newest album, SHISH. The two sit on opposite ends of their career, and hearing them back-to-back in the same night gives you a pretty clear look at where they started and where they are now.
Raúl Gómez-Rojas is conducting the symphony, and the band is joined by Quinn Christopherson, Onry, Redray Frazier and Sarah Clarke. The whole thing falls under the symphony's Sounds Like Portland series, which brings in local legends from an expanded roster for one-off shows. The venue itself is the Schnitz, 1037 SW Broadway—once a movie palace, now one of the city's most elegant stages, with nearly a century of music and laughter behind it.
