Portland Trail Blazers vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Portland Trail Blazers take on the Charlotte Hornets at the Moda Center on Saturday, January 9, 2027. It's a regular-season matchup with the Blazers playing at home, and since it's a Saturday night, it's one of those games that's easy to build a whole evening around.

For those who don't follow every single game, here's the setup: the Blazers are hosting the Hornets in Portland, so the home crowd will be right there in the Moda Center. It's a standard NBA game, meaning you've got the full four quarters, the timeouts, and the usual back-and-forth that makes a home game worth seeing in person. If you've been following the season, this is one of those mid-winter dates that falls right in the thick of the schedule.

The tip-off is at 7 PM, which is a good time for a Saturday—late enough that you can grab dinner beforehand, but early enough that you're not staying up until midnight. Since it's at the Moda Center, you're right in the heart of the city, so getting there and back is straightforward. If you're planning to head in early, you've got plenty of options around the arena to kill time before the game starts.

So, if you're looking for a way to spend your Saturday night in January, the Blazers are at home against the Hornets at the Moda Center on January 9, with tip-off at 7 PM.
