Concert by American alternative hip-hop artist Pertinence at the Mission Theater in Portland.
Pertinence plays the Mission Theater on Thursday, October 15, in Portland. It's a single-artist bill, so the whole night is his.
If you haven't come across him yet, Pertinence is an American alternative hip-hop artist. He started out as a high school MC and has built his following through a steady stream of releases and collaborations. He describes his work as a blend of traditional and experimental sounds, with a focus on introspective, authentic lyrics and clever wordplay. The writing tends toward wisdom and connecting with listeners on a genuine level, rather than the flashier side of the genre.
The show is all ages, so it's one of those nights you can bring younger friends or siblings along. The Mission Theater is at 1624 NW Glisan St, part of the McMenamins West End Entertainment District.
