OMSI After Dark: Game On!

OMSI After Dark returns to OMSI on Wednesday, November 11, from 6 PM to 10 PM. It's a monthly night at the museum for guests 21 and over, which means you can wander through the galleries with a drink in your hand. Each edition centers on a theme and brings in curated vendors, themed activities, and lectures, with four Planetarium shows running throughout the evening. This month's theme is gaming.

There are a few specific things to look for. One is 'Blurred Gaming,' a mobile game you play while wearing drunk-goggles. Another is 'Game Theory,' which looks at what math can teach us about strategy. The museum's Natural Sciences Hall has also been renovated into a dynamic space aimed at deepening public understanding of climate-related challenges, so that's a good spot to check out while you're there.

If you want to get a head start on the night, Happy Hour runs at the Theory Restaurant from 5 PM to 6 PM, with the restaurant staying open until 10 PM. Just keep in mind that last entry is at 5:45 PM, so if you're planning on that early drink, don't cut it too close. And since it's a 21+ event, you'll need a valid government-issued ID to get in.

Tickets are required, and OMSI members get a 15% discount. Parking is $2 for after-hours events. The whole thing runs from 6 PM to 10 PM at 1945 SE Water Ave in Portland.
