Portland songwriter Olive Klug performs with support from Frail Talk at Polaris Hall.
Olive Klug plays Polaris Hall on Thursday, October 29, with Frail Talk opening the night. It's a local bill, with Klug based right here in Portland.
Klug is a songwriter who writes about her feelings, being queer, having a strange brain, and coming of age in a confusing world. Her music sits somewhere between folk and indie pop, and she's said that she aims to help people feel more connected to each other and to their deeper selves. It's the kind of songwriting that doesn't hide behind a wall of sound—the lyrics are front and center, and the songs are built around the things she's singing about.
Frail Talk takes the opening slot, so you'll get two acts on the same bill. Between the two, the night covers a good stretch of the city's current indie and folk scene.
