Singer-songwriter Madds Buckley performs live at Holocene, with support from Sparkbird.
Madds Buckley plays Holocene on Thursday, January 28, 2027, with support from Sparkbird. It's part of her 2026-2027 North American tour, and the show is all ages.
Buckley is a singer-songwriter with an RIAA Gold record and more than 2 million monthly listeners. She pairs clear vocals with unexpected melodies and a deep instinct for storytelling that often draws on themes from anime, video games and narrative-driven media. That storytelling is a good way to get a handle on what she does—the songs tend to lean on specific stories and characters rather than general moods.
She's been releasing singles in preparation for her new album, Simple Binary and a Complex Phrase, which comes out October 16. Before that, she put out 'My Love Is Sick', 'Overboard', 'Concept Without Proof' and 'Human to You'. If you've been following her, those singles have been the lead-up to this record, and the tour is the first time you'll hear the new material live.

There's a charitable side to the tickets, too. Buckley has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket goes to Conscious Alliance, an organization working to end hunger nationwide. It's a small addition that adds something concrete to the price of admission.
Doors open at 7 PM at Holocene, 1001 SE Morrison in Portland, and tickets are $27.
