Special screening of David Lynch's Lost Highway within the Night Blooming Jasmine film series at the Portland Art Museum.
David Lynch's Lost Highway (1997) screens at the Portland Art Museum on Sunday, October 18, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's part of Night Blooming Jasmine, a weekend of Lynch films presented by Fresh Cut Flowers and PAM CUT. The screening runs 2 hours and 14 minutes and is rated R.
Night Blooming Jasmine sits inside Vintage Spooky, a month-long series of classic films at the museum's Whitsell Auditorium that runs through October and culminates in a Halloween-day screening of Night of the Living Dead (1968). So if you're in the mood for old-school cinema this month, this is one of several dates you can work into your schedule.
Fresh Cut Flowers is a Portland lifestyle and floral studio founded by Trey Hales and Cody Shulund, known for nature-focused storytelling through its products and floral work. They run a store inside Machus on SW Alder and put on more than 25 events a year across Portland, New York, and Los Angeles. Along with the film, the studio is releasing a small collection of Night Blooming Jasmine products. The museum notes that the films shown don't necessarily reflect the views of PAM CUT or the Portland Art Museum.
