Blues and rock and roll concert by Liam St. John with Cameron Whitcomb at the McMenamins Crystal Hotel.
Liam St. John plays McMenamins Crystal Hotel on Wednesday, October 13, with Cameron Whitcomb joining him on stage. It's a mid-week show in Portland, and the set sits right where St. John's sound has always lived: at the crossroads of the blues, rock & roll, and alt-country.
St. John is a Spokane, Washington-born artist now based in Nashville. He first made a name for himself in 2022 with the viral single "Dipped In Bleach," and his debut full-length album, stripped back, came out that same June. It hit number one on Apple Music's Top Blues Albums chart globally, and he followed it with a nationwide tour that ended with a sold-out show in Music City, USA. He signed his first publishing deal with King Pen Music via Warner Chappell at the end of 2022.
His second full-length, Man of the North, came out in September 2025 on Big Loud Rock. That record features collaborations with Houndmouth and Grammy winner Molly Tuttle, and it pushes him further into Americana. The influences he grew up on—Ray Charles, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Louis Armstrong, and Tracy Chapman—still run through the work, even as the sound has shifted toward that Americana territory. He's touring behind it now, part of a 57-date North American headline run, with 2026 international dates including C2C in Rotterdam, Berlin, and London.
