Horror film screening as part of the October horror program at Clinton Street Theater, featuring the 'Shush Cut' of the film Hush.
Clinton Street Theater is screening Hush on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 7 PM. It's part of Horror October, the theater's annual festival of cult classics, international horror, midnight movies and Halloween-themed oddities, which runs throughout the month with special screenings, live performances and guest appearances.
This year's lineup has a few other things going on around it. There's a Friday the 13th screening with Amy Steel, a Little Shop of Horrors shadowcast by Rogue Apostles, and a 16mm presentation of Faust with a live score by Accendino. Running alongside the whole thing is GuignolFest, Portland's original 72-hour horror film contest. Dylan Hillerman and Julia Reodica started it in 2009, and over 17 years it's turned out more than 200 Portland-made horror shorts.
