Distant, a downtempo deathcore band, performs live with special guests Heavy//Hitter, Torn Open, and Katywentmissing on their U.S. fall tour.

Distant is an international downtempo deathcore band that formed in 2014, with members from Rotterdam and Bratislava: Alan Grnja on lead vocals, Nouri Yetgin on guitars, Elmer Maurits on bass, and RenΓ© Gerbrandij on drums. Since they started, they've blended hyper-dissonant downtempo deathcore, brutal death metal, and beatdown, and they tend to pull from esoteric and arcane themes. Their discography runs back to the 2015 EP Slither, followed by the critically acclaimed Tsukuyomi in 2017. They put out their first full-length, Tyrannotophia, in 2019 through Unique Leader Records, then Aeons Of Oblivion in 2021 and Heritage in 2023, both on Century Media. In 2021 they also released a novel, The Rise of Tyrannotophia.
