A theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's television series Bluey, performed with puppets and sets, suitable for all ages.
Bluey's Big Play comes to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Monday, October 12, 2026. It's a theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's series Bluey, and it marks the Heelers' first live theatre show, brought to the stage with puppets and sets. The story is an original one written by the show's creator, Joe Brumm, with new music by composer Joff Bush.
It's presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co, and it's recommended for all ages. The show runs about 50 minutes with no interval, so it's a relatively quick oneโeasy to fit in with kids without it dragging into a long evening. Seating is reserved, and everyone needs a ticket regardless of age, so you'll want to book ahead rather than hoping to walk in with the little ones.
There's a bit more to it than just sitting in your seat, too. After the show, some audience members are invited to take part in games of 'Keepy Uppy' with air-filled balls and bubbles, which is one of the show's most recognizable games brought into the room. It's a nice way to let the kids move around a bit after they've spent the half hour watching.
