Black Violin's Full Circle Tour merges classical depth with hip-hop, performed with the Oregon Symphony.
Black Violin play the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Thursday, April 1, 2027, at 7:30 PM. They're performing with the Oregon Symphony, as part of the symphony's Special Concerts series.
Black Violin is the Grammy-nominated duo of Wil Baptiste, on viola and vocals, and Kev Marcus, on violin. The two met as high school orchestra classmates and have built their following by merging classical depth with hip-hop's pulse. This particular show is a stop on their Full Circle tour, which brings that same blend of classical and hip-hop to the stage, this time backed by the full Oregon Symphony.
Their work extends beyond the stage through the Black Violin Foundation, which reaches more than 100,000 students each year. The performance is part of the symphony's Special Concerts series and is eligible for the Choose Your Own Series here in Portland.
