A bilingual Cantonese and English storytime session for young children and their parents at the Woodstock Library.
Woodstock Library is hosting a bilingual Cantonese and English storytime on Tuesday, October 13, from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM. It's part of the Multnomah County Library's storytime program, which is built for babies, toddlers, and young children to experience language, culture, music, and play alongside their favorite adults.
The session is designed for children under six attending with a parent or guardian. It's not just reading from a book—the hour and a half is filled with songs, movement activities, rhymes, and playtime shared with other families. The bilingual format means you'll hear both Cantonese and English, so it's a good way for little ones to hear and play with two languages at once.
If you're looking for something more tailored, the library also offers a dedicated Sensory Storytime to support its neurodiverse community. The whole program is supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.

One thing to keep in mind: spots are limited and work on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's worth getting there a bit early. The session runs from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM in the Woodstock Large Community Room at the Woodstock Library in Portland.
