A comedy show where legendary drag performers compete for the title of Portland's worst drag performer, hosted by Mano Agapion and Oscar Montoya.
Mano Agapion and Oscar Montoya bring Bad Drag Race to the Tomorrow Theater on Friday, October 16. It's a one-night-only show, part of Laugh Track, the curated comedy series that brings nationally touring comedians to the theater.
Bad Drag Race bills itself as the globe's least-impressive drag competition, a show that celebrates the crunchy, the busted and the barely-allowed-to-be-considered-drag. Local legendary queens, kings and 'things' compete for the crown and the title of Portland's worst drag performer, in a night dedicated to everything that misses the mark. The whole affair is hosted by the Mothers of the Haus of Crunch: Ozma (Oscar Montoya) and Basic Bitch (Mano Agapion).
Agapion is a queer brown comedian and TV writer from North Carolina who appears on podcasts like Drag Her and We Love Trash with Betsy Sodaro. Montoya is a Colombian-American actor and comedian known for Dropout productions including Dimension 20, the improv troupe Spanish Aquí Presents and as a main cast member on Minx. Together they run the night, and the local drag community fills in the rest.
