A craft and vinyl listening session for 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies, featuring analogue listening and handmade pride keychains.
Indigiqueer Crafts is at the Hollywood Library on Saturday, November 14, from 3 PM to 4 PM. It's part of a series that runs on the second Saturday of each month from July through November, so if you miss this one, there's another coming up. The session is open to adult patrons who identify as 2S/LGBTQIA+ as well as to allies, and all abilities are welcome.
The library describes it as an analogue listening space where you can spend an hour with culturally relevant and identity-supporting media—vinyl records, in particular—while working on analogue crafts and mindful handmade projects. It's less of a formal class and more of a slow afternoon: you listen, you make something with your hands, and you hang out. This month's project is making small pride keychains in the shape of corn, put together with pony beads in Pride flag colors. Information on local Indigiqueer resources will also be on hand for anyone who wants to look into that.
