Los Hongos Cafe and Plant Bar is a café, plant bar and mushroom shop at 4330 SE Division St in Portland. The name means "the mushrooms" in Spanish, and fungi are the main theme of the menu. The business is locally owned and run by David Poplin and Nya Larson. Poplin is a biochemist with mycology experience, and he co-produces the Portland Fungi Festival. A Bridgetown Bites report from November 2025 covered the opening. The space is full of plants and cacti, and reviewers describe it as a small, cute place with a sweet vibe.

The coffee and tea are made with an espresso machine and beans from Kafiex, a Vancouver, WA roaster that won the 22nd annual Roaster of the Year award in the Micro Roaster category. The real difference is the mushroom infusions. Eight medicinal mushroom extracts can be added to coffee or elixirs, including Lion's Mane, Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Chaga and Cordyceps, plus two others. The specialty drinks include Mushroom Cacao, Mushroom Matcha, Mushroom Immunitea, Cardamom Cold Brew and Horchata Cold Brew. There is also kava nectar, which is cold-pressed kava root juice, and kava mixed with various elixirs. You can also get mushroom tea and mushroom hot chocolate. For a grab-and-go option, the Melting Forest cans are canned, carbonated mushroom elixirs.
The permanent food menu includes blue oyster mushroom tacos, mushroom empanadas, savory toast, quiche and a mushroom rice bowl. Seasonal dishes use foraged mushrooms such as lobster mushrooms and chanterelles. Reviews mention the Dos Hermanos pastries and note that most of the food options are vegan. The shop side sells tinctures and medicinal mushroom products, plus cultivation kits for blue oyster and lion's mane mushrooms. Each kit comes with a Grow Guarantee: if it doesn't fruit within 30 days, you get a free replacement, and step-by-step grow guides are included.
