Interactive theatre storytelling for young children in partnership with Theatre Royal Plymouth, using song, movement and props to engage imagination.
Tiny Tales is coming to The Box on Friday 31 July, with a second date on Friday 21 August. It's an interactive theatre storytelling experience for toddlers and their grown-ups, created in partnership with Theatre Royal Plymouth.
The session is built around song, movement, and props, and it's designed for children to get involved rather than just sit and watch. The kids help steer the storytelling as it unfolds, and the whole thing is meant to get their imaginations working. Along the way, it touches on building language, social, and performance skills, so it's as much about talking and interacting as it is about listening.
It's described as a bonding experience and a good first introduction to theatre for the little ones. The 2-4 age range is given as a rough guide, and babes in arms are welcome too, so you don't need to worry if your youngest is still well under that bracket.
