A free three-day creative music workshop for young people aged 15-18, focusing on music production and recording in professional studios.
dBs Institute of Music is running a free three-day summer school from Tuesday 21 July to Thursday 23 July, open to young people aged 15 to 18. It's a creative music workshop held in their professional recording studios, so you're working in the same rooms used for actual industry sessions rather than a classroom. Over the three days, you'll be creating and developing your own original music using both software and hardware, and you'll learn the basics of music production and recording along the way.
It's not just about the technical side, either. You'll be collaborating with other young creatives, and you'll get hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment. The best part is that you don't leave empty-handed: you take home the music you've made during the course. It's aimed at anyone interested in music, audio, performance, songwriting or production, so it works whether you're already playing an instrument or just starting to get into the production side of things.
