The Box is running a guided tour of Echoes of Us on Wednesday 1 July, a 45-minute walk through the exhibition that's currently on at Tavistock Place. It's part of their 'Bitesize' series, so it's a shorter, focused look rather than a full afternoon spent wandering on your own.
Echoes of Us pulls together works from one of the most significant British art collections in the world, and the tour follows the three themes the show is built around: belonging, memory and connection. The range on display is one of the best things about it — it stretches from a 17th-century portrait by Sir Godfrey Kneller all the way to a 2025 sculpture by the collective Keiken. Seeing those two side by side, centuries apart, is a good way to see how artists have been grappling with the same questions for a very long time.
